(I am in the back of this pic.)I had worked as a simultaneous conference interpreter for quite some time ever since I was still in university. Most of the conferences I did my work were in the area of medicine, IT, intellectual property, especially music copyrights. I worked in about 25 countries, but most of the time those conferences are held in U.S. and France (because confederation of music copyrights organizations had its headquarters in Paris) and other countries like South Africa, India and so on I have only gone once or twice. I was extremely busy in those days, preparing for the conference reading tons of documents and tried to do my best each day. It was very hard to do the best possible performance in every occasion. Some speakers speak so fast, some inaudible. But I learned a lot, especially regarding special terminology, special rules, and customs in those specific areas. I made many friends who are my treasure in life both in private and in business.
